Do you think a lot of young people have similar problems to Zara? What can parents do to help their children choose their studies and future careers?

I suppose, many young people have such difficult problems with their parents. Some of my friends have similar troubles.
In my opinion, parents have a great influence on their children. They should give them the right to choose, lend ear to them, listen to their cherished dreams and goals. Moreover, parent can give some useful advice.
I'm sure, one of the main things for parents is to have the sincere faith in their children and support them in any cases.
To conclude, I'd like to say teenagers should show their parents the aspiration and desire to have wishful profession in their future. Parents, in turn, should understand and support their children's ideas.

I think many young people also have similar problem to Zara because of many viewpoints and generation gaps. Sometimes parents seem to overprotect their children, think that they are not mature enough to make their own decisions and or " Oh it's just your contemporary decision, you'll change !"

In this case, parents should lend a sympathetic ear to their children about their passion, choices of career and consult teachers' advice. Besides, young people should show respectful attitude toward their parents and gradually persuade them.

In most of the cases, parents always decide well for their children's career. But they must have a disscussion with their children and of course with the teachers to know about their children's interest. :)

Which job would you like to do in the future, Hadia ?
Up to now, I haven't decided what job I would choose, my hobby is changeable. At school, I only try to study hard to get good scores in all subjects, so I do not really know which subject I'm the best at. But I always hope that I can make a lot of contribution to community :))
Do you think having a job with high income is the target that many young people aim at and strive for or adults should only encourage them to do what they are passionate about ?

Hi Giang!
Currently, I am doing my Pre-medical and I shall pursue Medical as my career afterwards. To make a long story short, I want to become a Doctor. This profession has always caught my rapt attention and I am really crazy about it. Although, I love my all subjects and study them with equal hard work but Sciences and especially Biology is my Love;).
Ha ha. But different people have different opinions about me. Some say I am great at literature and languages.
Some even say I was designed for mathematics. And some remain stick to Biology. He he.
You might have also come across such remarks. You know people have different perspectives. This is because as we are students. We work hard equally for every subject and give each of them our enthusiasm.
Huff!
But I don't want to get a profession to make money. I want to specialize in Dermatology. I want to discover a novel thing in Medical science too. You know Giang, there are many diseases out there, still incurable. And that makes me do something. I want to give something productive to mankind and my nation. So yeah, I am as energetic as anyone of my age ought to be. ;)

Dreams are millions. And I wanna make them true. But I you know Giang, there's a time for everything. And Good time comes at Good time. Ha ha. (Just read it from a book)

Making money?? I don't want to be rich but I want to be respected. And I've always tried to be good with people around me. Respect is something that can't be get by ordering. It's a thing that's earned. Only if you respect others too. And that should really be adopted.

I have high aims. My teacher used to say me. Always aim for the highest. And I love her for teaching me that. I want to realize them into reality. Making money isn't my aim. Making something Productive is what I aim for. And that would be my job. In shaa Allah ( As Allah wills) :D

Because, our existence in this world should be worthwhile. We are born to do something unique.

What about you Giang? Have you decided your Job, your aim yet? Please do it. Aim for something always. And strive for it.
Who knows we get a Female version of Einstein out of you. :)))) I have observed you're great at Mathematics. I am sure you are a talented girl. ;)

Best wishes ;)

Great ! Hadia,
I totally agree with your viewpoints, let's strive for dreams :)
But I'm really tired when I have to try to get good marks in all scores, I mean, if I know exactly what job I would choose and which subjects I need to do that job, I will pay more attention to, although all subjects are necessary, there're still special subjects for a special job.
You're always an energetic and enthusiastic student.

Yes. Like Merida from the Disney movie "Brave". She got forced by her mom to be an ordinary princess.
Parents should let their children choose what they want to be, and let them work hard on their dreams. Instead of choosing for them. Not all of them will accept their parent's decision.

Yes, every teenager should have a chance of what they really want to be, instead of being forced by their their parents. Our life is not only up to rich or poor, but happiness. Do what you want and be happy, that is what i really want.
