Tick tock: time is running out
Hello everyone! I am sorry that it has been so long since my last post but sometimes the teaching programme here can get a little bit stressful and you lose track of what you are doing.
One thing I have noticed is how quickly time is flying past me now. Only now have I realised how little time I have left before I return to the UK and try to find another job. It is quite scary because it always feels like you have plenty of time. Very soon I will leave my beautiful Mediterranean island and return to the green fields of my home, Armagh.
Time is a funny thing. It goes quickly and slowly at the same time. One day can rush past you and the next can seem like it lasts forever. Now I wish I could slow everything down. I want to take advantage of every minute of every day to try something new and exciting. I want to be able to have one special memory for each day I have left.
My students gave me a list of things to see and do in Mallorca and I have barely seen any of them. Even on such a small island, there are far too many things to see. I want to have a superpower. I want to be able to stop time.
If I could stop time then I could exercise on the beach all day while listening to Imagine Dragons on my phone. I could see everything on the island without running or panicking. My adventure here wouldn't have to end and I would have all the time in the world to keep writing these articles for all of you.
